It's best to call first. That way you can tell us about the problem and we can agree a day and time to look at the car.
What should I tell you when I call?
The make, model and year of the car, the engine type (petrol, diesel, hybrid or electric), what you've noticed, when it happens (cold, warm, when braking, when starting…) and how long it's been happening. If a warning light has come on, a photo of the dashboard helps a lot.
